HISTORY

The legend of Lake Gerundo and the dragon Tarantasio is oneof the most fascinating in Lombardy.
This monstrous, venomous reptile haunted the marshlands, poisoning the air and spreading disease. It is said that a warrior, likely a Visconti, defeated the beast. His family crest, a snake devouring a man, is believed to symbolize the dragon’s downfall.

This drink recalls the medieval custom of drinking a light alcoholic beverage made from grape pomace, known as “Acquerello.”
It was consumed daily as a substitute for unsafe drinking water.
