The Siren’s Bridge was designed and inaugurated in 1842, when the Austrians still ruled Milan.
The cast iron mermaids at the four corners of the bridge became very popular; legend has it that people would touch their breasts or buttocks as a propitiatory ritual before a romantic date.T oday, however, it is said that couples who kiss in front of this bridge will rimain faithful to each other forever.

Sirens, in Greek mythology, were originally Leucosia, Parthenope, and Ligea, transformed by Demeter for failing to prevent Persephone’s abduction. During her search for her daughter, the goddess accepted only the Ciceone: an ancient beverage made with mint and rye, flavors that inspire this cocktail.
